We are partnering with a purpose-driven organisation committed to empowering communities and delivering sustainable outcomes across regional Australia. This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Finance Officer to join a collaborative and values-led team on a 13-month fixed-term contract.
Your new role
Reporting to the Corporate Services Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading day-to-day financial operations while supporting strategic financial management.
Youll oversee a small team, drive process improvements, and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance, and governance.

  • Lead and supervise finance and administrative operations
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, reconciliations, and budget analysis
  • Support budget development and performance reporting
  • Assist with audits, annual financial statements, and funding acquittals
  • Maintain accurate financial records and systems (MYOB or similar)
  • Oversee asset management, including registers and stocktakes
  • Ensure compliance with financial, legislative, and policy requirements
  • Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiencies
  • Support and develop team capability and performance

What you'll need to succeed
Youre a hands-on finance professional with strong leadership capability and a proactive mindset.You will bring:

  • Degree in Accounting, Business, or similar
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrated experience supervising or mentoring staff
  • Advanced MYOB (or equivalent) systems knowledge
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, and perform under pressure
