The Role:

  • Read, analyse, and prepare tender documentation
  • Prepare quantity take-offs in an efficient and accurate manner
  • Analyse and select supplier and/or subcontractor quotations
  • Manage time constraints in the preparation of tenders
  • Consult with colleagues and senior staff to resolve issues affecting the cost effectiveness of
  • tender submissions
  • Liaise with clients, architects, consultants, and subcontractors to discuss and resolve issues
  • Co-ordinate and facilitate post tender negotiations
  • Prepare budget estimates based on preliminary sketches
  • Analyse and compare budget estimates to similar projects

What We’re Looking For:

  • Senior construction/building estimating skillset and experience complimented by industry relevant qualification(s)
  • Proven track record of commercial construction project work winning
  • Sydney based with familiarity with local (AU) subcontractor and trade pricing/costs/quantities.
  • Confident & collaborative communicator, consistent with building trusted relationships and partnerships
  • Ability to build on existing subcontractor and client relationships
  • Self-motivated and intuitively natured; supportive of problem solving and continuous improvement
  • Organised and process appreciative in line with managing multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Competent user of relevant estimating software (Buildsoft or similar)
