Senior Electrical Engineer - ( 260000NT )

Description

About the role

Stantec is growing in South Australia, and we're looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Adelaide Buildings team.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a nationally connected Buildings business delivering projects across healthcare, defence, commercial, education, industrial, civic and mission-critical sectors. While based in Adelaide, you will work closely with our Electrical leadership team in Melbourne, providing access to major project opportunities, technical specialists and career development pathways across Australia.

As a senior member of the team, you will apply your technical expertise and project delivery experience to ensure projects are designed, reviewed and delivered to the highest standards. You will work across projects of varying scale and complexity, manage multiple priorities and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve successful outcomes for our clients.

The role offers flexibility to focus on technical excellence, project leadership, business development, or a combination of all three, depending on your interests and career aspirations.

Day to day tasks would involve:

  • Lead and manage electrical engineering projects from initial planning, concept development and client brief through to construction and commissioning.

  • Deliver electrical building services designs, including reports, studies, calculations, specifications, design documentation and drawing mark-ups.

  • Demonstrate strong technical leadership and provide oversight to ensure successful project delivery.

  • Mentor and support engineers and graduates, helping them develop their technical and professional capabilities.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, authorities and key project stakeholders.

  • Represent Stantec in client meetings, presentations and project workshops.

  • Coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary project teams across Adelaide, Melbourne and the broader national business.

  • Contribute to design reviews, quality assurance processes and project risk management.

To be successful for this role you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.

  • Chartered status, NER, RPEQ or equivalent professional accreditation (or be working towards accreditation).

  • Approximately 7 years' experience within a consulting engineering environment, specifically in building services.

  • Experience delivering projects across sectors such as healthcare, defence, commercial, education, industrial or data centres.

  • Strong technical understanding of Australian Standards, electrical building services systems and project delivery methodologies.

  • Proven ability to manage projects and coordinate stakeholders effectively.

  • Strong client relationship and business development skills, or a desire to develop these capabilities.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • A positive, proactive and collaborative approach to working with clients and colleagues.
