Company Overview

Profusion is working with a well-renowned, market-leading financial services organisation that is undertaking a significant transformation of its investment data technology environment.

They are looking for an experienced Senior Databricks Engineer to join a high-performing technology team and play a key role in the backend migration and modernisation of a critical enterprise Investment Data Platform .

Role Overview

This role will see an experienced backend/data engineer work collaboratively with a team of highly skilled Investment Data Technology specialists and investment stakeholders.

You will help design, build and migrate scalable backend data solutions using Databricks, Python and SQL , supporting critical investment, reference and security data across the organisation.

Experience and Skills

• Strong commercial Databricks engineering experience
• Excellent Python and SQL development skills
• Strong backend and data engineering experience
• Experience building and maintaining complex ETL / ELT and data pipelines
• Experience with large-scale enterprise data platforms
• Investment Management, Asset Management, Superannuation or Financial Markets experience highly regarded
• Experience with Investment Data Platforms highly regarded
• Security Master, Reference Data, Market Data and/or Investment Data experience advantageous
• Strong understanding of data modelling, data quality and data integration
• Cloud data engineering experience
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills
