Role Overview

This role sits within a growing renewable energy platform delivering critical infrastructure and energy transition projects across Australia. The environment is commercially complex, project-driven and highly visible, with direct exposure to senior leadership and board-level decision making.

The position focuses on commercial and financial analysis to support the successful delivery of renewable energy projects. Financial modelling, budget and forecast analysis, and risk assessment form critical inputs into board papers, investment cases and management reporting, while also providing clear commercial insight back to project delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver commercial financial analysis across renewable energy and infrastructure projects

  • Build and maintain detailed financial models supporting project budgets, forecasts and investment cases

  • Analyse project cost, margin, cash flow and key commercial risks

  • Provide financial input into board papers, governance submissions and management reporting

  • Partner closely with project teams to support delivery outcomes and commercial decision-making

  • Support portfolio performance through forecasting, cost control and variance analysis

  • Act as a trusted commercial finance advisor to senior stakeholders

About You

  • Proven experience in commercial finance, project finance or financial analysis within energy, infrastructure or capital-intensive environments

  • Strong background in financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting for large-scale projects

  • Experience supporting investment cases, board papers and senior management reporting

  • Solid understanding of project delivery, cost control and commercial risk

  • Confident business partner able to translate complex financial data into clear insights

  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with enterprise financial systems advantageous
