SENIOR ARCHITECT (Hospitality Projects) – SYDNEY

  • Lead hospitality projects from concept through to construction.
  • Take ownership, mentor junior architects and influence project outcomes.
  • Join a design-led studio with a strong pipeline of high-profile hospitality work.

ABOUT THE COMPANY
This is an opportunity to join an architectural practice with an established reputation for delivering hospitality projects that create memorable guest experiences. Working across boutique venues through to large-scale destination developments, the studio combines strong design thinking with technical excellence to deliver projects from concept through to completion.
With a collaborative leadership team, a consistent pipeline of work and genuine opportunities to take ownership of projects, this is an ideal environment for an experienced Architect looking to step into a more influential role while continuing to develop their career.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Senior Architect, you will take ownership of hospitality projects spanning new build developments, adaptive re-use, refurbishments and high-end interior fit-outs. You'll lead smaller projects independently while managing key packages on larger, complex developments, working closely with senior leadership and consultants throughout each stage.
This is a hands-on project leadership position where you'll remain involved in design, technical delivery and client coordination while mentoring junior team members and helping develop the next generation of architects within the practice.

DUTIES

  • Lead hospitality projects from concept design through to construction.
  • Manage smaller projects independently, ensuring programme, quality and client expectations are achieved.
  • Deliver key work packages on larger, multi-disciplinary hospitality developments.
  • Coordinate consultants, authorities and contractor engagement throughout project delivery.
  • Produce and oversee high-quality documentation using Revit.
  • Review technical detailing and resolve complex design and construction issues.
  • Mentor Graduate Architects and Architects through project delivery and day-to-day support.
  • Attend client, consultant and site meetings, building strong professional relationships.
  • Maintain design quality while balancing programme, budget and buildability.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Registered Architect or experienced Senior Architect with demonstrated project leadership.
  • Proven experience delivering hospitality projects, including new builds, refurbishments, renovations and interior fit-outs.
  • Strong understanding of project delivery across all architectural phases.
  • Experience leading projects, coordinating consultants and managing client relationships.
  • Confident mentoring and supporting junior team members.
  • Advanced Revit proficiency with the ability to produce and review documentation.
  • Strong technical detailing and construction knowledge.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills.

CULTURE
This is a studio where good ideas are recognised regardless of seniority. Senior Architects are trusted to lead projects, influence design outcomes and develop client relationships rather than simply deliver documentation.
The practice places genuine emphasis on mentorship, giving senior staff the opportunity to shape the careers of junior architects while working within collaborative project teams that value knowledge sharing, technical excellence and design quality.

BENEFITS

  • Work / life balance and flexibility.
  • Clear pathway into Associate-level responsibilities, supported by opportunities to lead teams, mentor junior staff and build long-term client relationships.
  • Relaxed nature across the office.
  • Modern, design-focused studio in an amazing location.
  • Collaborative team culture and approachable leadership.
