Scrub / Scout Nurse - Orthopaedics

Location: Newcastle, NSW

Employment Type: Full-time, part-time available

Salary: EBA-aligned rates from approximately $79,000 - $111,000 + super, depending on experience and classification, plus applicable penalties, allowances and casual loading where relevant.

This is a great opportunity for a Registered Nurse with perioperative scrub/scout experience to join a busy private theatre department in the Newcastle region, with the chance to build skills across a broad range of surgical specialties.

The Role

As a Scrub or Scout Nurse, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary theatre team, providing instrument and circulating support across a wide surgical case mix. There is genuine scope to build experience across specialties including neurosurgery, robotic, vascular and cardiothoracic surgery, alongside general, orthopaedic and other core lists.

This role would suit someone who enjoys theatre work, values teamwork, and wants the flexibility to choose full-time, part-time or casual employment.

About You

You will be an experienced Scrub or Scout Nurse who is confident working in a perioperative department and committed to delivering excellent patient care.

What You Will Need

  • Current AHPRA registration (Registered Nurse Division 1)
  • Previous experience working as a Scrub / Scout Nurse in Orthopaedics
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • A commitment to a team environment
  • Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service and quality improvement

Final remuneration will depend on classification, experience, employment type and applicable EBA conditions.
