The opportunity
As a member of the Science Faculty, you will:
- Teach Science across Years 7–12, depending on your qualifications and experience
- Deliver engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences aligned with the NSW Curriculum
- Foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a passion for scientific discovery
- Support students in developing practical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student achievement
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress and achievement
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, assessment, and faculty initiatives
- Support students preparing for senior Science courses and examinations
- Participate in the pastoral and co-curricular life of the school
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and educational excellence
About you
The successful candidate will:
- Hold recognised secondary teaching qualifications
- Be NESA accredited (or eligible for accreditation)
- Have experience teaching Science within a secondary school setting
- Demonstrate strong curriculum knowledge and effective classroom management skills
- Have the ability to engage and motivate students across a range of learning abilities
- Be committed to achieving positive educational outcomes for all students
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Work effectively within a collaborative and professional team environment
- Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional growth and development
- Support and contribute to the Catholic ethos and values of the school
