Our client is a well-established and growing food service distributor with a strong presence across Queensland. Supplying a diverse range of fresh, frozen, and dry goods to customers across hospitality, healthcare, education, retail, and catering sectors, they have built a reputation for delivering quality products and exceptional customer service. They are now seeking an experienced Sales Representative to join their Townsville team.
Your new roleAs a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for managing and growing an established customer portfolio while identifying and securing new business opportunities. Working closely with customers across the food service industry, you will play a key role in driving sales growth and strengthening long-term business relationships.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing and servicing an existing customer base
• Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
• Presenting and promoting a broad product portfolio and promotional offerings
• Building and maintaining strong customer relationships
• Taking orders and resolving customer enquiries and issues
• Monitoring market trends and identifying growth opportunities
• Collaborating with customer service and internal stakeholders to deliver outstanding customer outcomes
• Achieving sales targets and KPI outcomes

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous sales experience within the food service, FMCG, wholesale distribution, or related industry
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
• Proven ability to build and maintain customer relationships
• Self-motivated with strong time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Current C-Class Driver's Licence
• Professional presentation and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service
