KEY POINTS WE FOUND
  • Build and maintain customer relationships in an established territory.
  • Identify sales opportunities and manage stock on the vehicle.
  • Provide a positive customer experience while achieving sales targets.

  • Build a sales career with full training and support
  • Run your day and develop genuine customer relationships
  • Represent Peters Ice Cream while helping local customers grow

At PFD, we bring people together through food, but it is the people behind the plate who make it happen. Every day, our teams support customers and communities across Australia. In this role, you will represent Peters Ice Cream while combining the scale and stability of PFD with the energy of a customer-facing FMCG sales role.

When you join PFD and Peters, you will become part of a business where you can:

  • Work with real people in a big business
  • Grow with a business that is always moving
  • Shape the future of foodservice

About the Role

You’ll own your territory, build customer relationships and grow sales for an iconic foodservice organisation.

This is not a traditional delivery role and it is not a desk-based sales position. As a Cash Van Sales Representative, you will take ownership of an established Perth territory, visit customers, manage stock on your vehicle, merchandise products and identify opportunities to grow sales and distribution. You will have the autonomy to run your day while staying connected to fellow Van Sales Representatives and the Peters Territory and State Managers.

The role offers a practical entry point into FMCG sales for someone who enjoys being on the road, talking with customers and seeing the results of their work. Previous sales experience is preferred, but full training will be provided for the right person.

What you'll be doing

You will play an important role in supporting customers and growing your territory by:

  • Servicing an established customer territory and building strong, long-term relationships
  • Identifying sales opportunities and increasing product distribution within existing accounts
  • Selling and delivering Peters products directly from the cash van
  • Managing vehicle stock levels and maintaining accurate sales, delivery and customer records
  • Replenishing customer freezers and maintaining high merchandising standards
  • Working to weekly sales rhythms and KPIs while planning and managing your own day
  • Providing a positive and professional customer experience at every visit
  • Working with the wider Peters team to maximise opportunities and achieve business objectives

What will help you succeed

You will thrive in this role if you enjoy meeting people, solving problems and taking ownership of results.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Previous sales, route sales, merchandising, delivery or customer service experience; full training is available for the right candidate
  • The confidence to start conversations, build rapport and identify customer needs
  • An MR licence or learner MR; support may be available for the right candidate to obtain the required licence
  • Comfort working to weekly rhythms and KPIs while having autonomy over the day
  • Strong planning, record-keeping and follow-through
  • Resilience and resourcefulness when plans change
  • A flexible approach to working hours and a genuine drive for relationships, solutions and growth

What success looks like

  • A consistent and well-planned customer visit rhythm
  • Strong customer relationships and a reputation as a reliable point of contact
  • Growth in sales, volume, distribution and new business opportunities
  • Accurate records, disciplined planning and strong follow-through
  • A solid understanding of Peters products, customers and pricing
  • Customers experiencing practical, responsive service through every interaction

Why join PFD and Peters?

You will have the freedom to run your territory, the support of an experienced team and the opportunity to represent Peters Ice Cream in the local market. The role brings together customer relationships, sales, merchandising and delivery, giving you variety every day and a clear pathway to build FMCG sales capability.

  • Competitive remuneration, superannuation and participation in incentive programs
  • Access to staff benefits, including discounts on staff purchases, accommodation, health insurance and banking
  • Hands-on training and support to build product, customer and sales knowledge
  • The opportunity to grow your career in a large national foodservice business
