Your new role
As a Review and Assessment Officer, you will support the review and assessment of complex applications, ensuring information is analysed thoroughly and recommendations are clearly documented.
This role will suit someone who is comfortable working through high volumes of detailed, repetitive assessment work while maintaining accuracy, consistency and strong attention to detail.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing and assessing complex and sensitive applications in line with legislation, policy and procedures
- Analysing information from a range of sources to support evidence-based decision-making
- Preparing clear, accurate and concise written assessments, briefings and recommendations
- Managing a caseload of applications within required timeframes
- Liaising with applicants, internal teams and external stakeholders to obtain relevant information
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring confidentiality
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Strong experience in assessment, review, compliance, case management or a similar operational environment
- Excellent written communication skills, including experience preparing assessments, reports, briefings or recommendations
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with high attention to detail
- Confidence managing sensitive and confidential information
- The ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and a collaborative approach
- Previous government or regulatory experience will be highly regarded
