Retail Supervisor – Mount Isa, QLD
Kogan People Solutions, recruiters, are working with a long-established Mount Isa business which operates a popular and well stocked grocery and convenience store.
The business now seeks an experienced Retail Supervisor to take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the General Store. The successful applicant will supervise and support the retail team, maintain good customer service and presentation standards, oversee stock replenishment and inventory control, and contribute to the store’s profitability.
Salary negotiable in the range $75k to $95k plus superannuation per annum is on offer. The role is full time and ongoing, requiring shifts across the week and weekend.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure customers receive prompt, friendly service and respond to enquiries and complaints as required.
- Supervise store staff, including preparing staff schedules.
- Recruitment, performance reviews, and address day-to-day staffing issues.
- Oversee stock ordering, replenishment and inventory control to maintain appropriate stock levels and minimise shrinkage.
- Always ensure the store is clean, organised and well stocked.
- Monitor daily sales and store operations, help to meet sales targets
- Ensure staff follow food handling, workplace safety and security procedures.
To be considered, we expect to see:
- Certificate II or III in a relevant area (or agreed substitute).
- At least one year of relevant retail supervisory experience, preferably gained in a supermarket, grocery store, convenience store or other busy retail environment.
- Good communication, organisational and staff supervision skills.
- Practical experience in stock control, merchandising and maintaining customer service standards.
Unrestricted rights to work full time in Australia are essential to be considered for this role.
