Role Overview
This full-time position is responsible for managing the overall operations of the retail store, ensuring strong sales performance, effective staff supervision, stock control, and high customer service standards. The successful candidate will be confident in leading a team, monitoring financial performance, and maintaining efficient retail operations in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and control the day-to-day operations of the retail store to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery
- Monitor sales performance, establish revenue targets, and implement strategies to improve profitability
- Manage purchasing, pricing, stock levels, and inventory systems to maintain optimal stock availability
- Analyse sales reports, margins, and financial data to identify trends and improve business outcomes
- Recruit, train, supervise, and roster retail staff to maintain productivity and service standards
- Ensure high levels of customer service, addressing enquiries and resolving complaints professionally
- Oversee merchandising, promotional displays, and store presentation to maximize sales opportunities
- Ensure compliance with company policies, Australian Consumer Law, and workplace health and safety requirements
- Liaise with suppliers and negotiate purchasing arrangements to maintain competitive pricing and supply continuity
- Monitor operational costs and manage store budgets in line with business objectives
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in retail management, store operations, or administrative leadership.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise staff across customer service, inventory, and store functions.
- Experience managing point-of-sale systems, online orders, and coordination with delivery or courier partners.
- Familiarity with accounting or inventory systems (e.g., MYOB, Xero, Unleashed) is advantageous.
- Strong communication, customer engagement, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of operational outcomes.
