About the Role:

Join one of Australia's busiest and most dynamic Emergency Departments and play a pivotal role in delivering advanced, patient-centred care to the Canberra community.

Canberra Health Services (CHS) is committed to delivering high-quality, effective, and person-centred healthcare across acute, sub-acute, primary, and community settings throughout the ACT and surrounding region.

As an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) within the Emergency Department, you will be part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team working in a mixed adult and paediatric tertiary trauma centre. This fast-paced and rewarding environment offers the opportunity to utilise advanced clinical assessment, decision-making, and treatment skills to provide timely, evidence-based care for patients presenting with minor injuries and illnesses.

Working to the full scope of your advanced practice, you will deliver autonomous episodic care supported by clinical treatment protocols, medication standing orders, and established clinical governance frameworks. Your expertise will contribute to improving patient access to care while ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality outcomes.
