We are seeking an experienced and motivated Quality Officer to join our Supported and Connected Living Department and play a key role in strengthening quality, compliance and continuous improvement across our aged care services.
This is an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the delivery of high-quality, consumer-focused services while supporting teams to meet legislative, regulatory, funding and accreditation requirements.
About the role:
You will work collaboratively across the department to identify opportunities for improvement, strengthen quality systems, develop and review policies and practices, and support staff through relevant quality and compliance training.
You will:
• Lead compliance activities relating to Quality Standards, including leading Departmental processes for Quality Audits, maintaining the Departmental Continuous Improvement Plan and support the development, review and update of workforce resources, such as policies, manuals, process documents and frameworks.
• Coordinating policy updates with relevant team members, seeking feedback and approval from management and ELT as required.
• To support the development and review of systems, processes and work practices aimed at maximising quality outcomes for clients, and operational efficiency and accountability.
• Support and contribute to effective change processes relating to the transition to the new service model and practices required by the Commonwealth Aged Care reforms, including the new Aged Care Act, strengthened Quality Standards and Code of Conduct
About you:
The successful candidate will bring a strong understanding of quality management, risk and compliance within aged care or a similarly regulated environment, together with excellent communication, analytical and stakeholder engagement skills.
We are looking for:
• Degree or Diploma relevant to the position, and/or substantial knowledge, skills and experience in delivery of aged care services
• A current employee Working with Children Card.
• A current Victorian Driver’s Licence.
