A respected and growing residential developer-builder is seeking a Project Manager to lead the delivery of townhouse and medium-density residential developments across Canberra. With a strong project pipeline and a reputation for quality delivery, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager or an ambitious Project Engineer looking to take the next step in their career.
Your new role
Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will be responsible for managing projects from concept design through to completion and handover. Working closely with consultants, authorities, site teams and stakeholders, you will play a key role in driving programme outcomes, managing approvals and ensuring successful project delivery.Key responsibilities include:

• Managing projects through planning, approvals, procurement and construction
• Coordinating consultants and design teams to ensure documentation is accurate, coordinated and buildable
• Leading programme development and monitoring project milestones
• Managing authority approvals, utility coordination and pre-construction activities
• Reviewing designs for buildability, staging and value engineering opportunities
• Monitoring budgets, procurement activities and project performance
• Supporting Site Managers and delivery teams throughout construction
• Managing project risks, stakeholder relationships and reporting requirements
• Ensuring safety, quality and compliance standards are achieved

What you'll need to succeed

• Experience as a Project Manager, Project Engineer, Contract Administrator or Site Manager within residential construction
• Exposure to townhouse, medium-density, apartments or residential building projects
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to coordinate consultants, approvals and project documentation
• Understanding of construction programming, project controls and procurement
• Construction-related degree, diploma, trade qualification or equivalent experience
• Driven, organised and looking to build a long-term career in project delivery
