Our client is a leading national organisation delivering essential services across a large and geographically dispersed footprint. As part of a significant technology modernisation agenda, they are investing in a strategic SD-WAN transformation program designed to enhance network performance, cybersecurity, resilience and connectivity across residential, community, corporate and data centre environments.
Your new role
As the IS Project Manager, you will lead the end-to-end delivery of a complex enterprise-wide SD-WAN transformation, overseeing multiple workstreams including network design, telecommunications transition, cybersecurity integration, infrastructure upgrades, testing, cutovers and operational handover. Working closely with internal technology teams, business stakeholders, telecommunications providers, system integrators and managed service partners, you will ensure successful delivery while minimising disruption to critical services.
Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the planning, execution and delivery of a large-scale SD-WAN program
• Managing project scope, schedules, budgets, resources and dependencies
• Coordinating network, cybersecurity, infrastructure and telecommunications workstreams
• Driving stakeholder engagement across technology, operations and executive leadership teams
• Managing vendor performance and delivery against contractual commitments
• Overseeing project governance, reporting, RAID management and steering committee activities
• Managing risks, issues and business impacts throughout the project lifecycle
• Coordinating site migrations, testing, cutovers and service transition activities across multiple locations

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will be a seasoned Project Manager with proven experience delivering large-scale network, telecommunications or infrastructure transformation programs within complex enterprise environments.
You will demonstrate:

• Experience delivering enterprise-wide SD-WAN transformation projects.
• Strong knowledge of SD-WAN technologies, WAN architecture, network security and telecommunications services.
• Proven success managing geographically dispersed multi-site deployments.
• Strong vendor, commercial and stakeholder management capability.
• Excellent governance, risk management and financial management skills.
• Outstanding communication, negotiation and executive reporting abilities.
• PRINCE2, PMP, AIPM CPPM or equivalent project management certification.

  Highly regarded:

• Delivery of SD-WAN programs involving 100+ sites.
• Experience transitioning from MPLS or legacy WAN environments to SD-WAN and SASE architectures.
• Exposure to Palo Alto Prisma SD-WAN or similar platforms.
• Experience within healthcare, aged care, community care or other regulated industries.
