KEY POINTS WE FOUND
  • Support delivery of multiple energy infrastructure work packages.
  • Coordinate engineering, procurement and site-based construction activities.
  • Manage subcontractors and suppliers to ensure accountability on safety, quality and scope.

Role Overview:

Aequalis Consulting is supporting the delivery team on a major, long-term energy infrastructure portfolio in Queensland by appointing a Project Engineer with strong delivery fundamentals and future leadership potential.

Rather than being tied to a single isolated project, this role sits within a growing program of works spanning gas gathering, well facilities and supporting infrastructure. You will work closely with the Project Manager and Project Director, contributing not just to construction delivery, but to how projects are established, scaled and successfully handed over.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support delivery of multiple energy infrastructure work packages across an active portfolio

  • Coordinate engineering, procurement and site-based construction activities

  • Assist with project planning, sequencing, cost tracking and progress reporting

  • Manage subcontractors and suppliers to ensure accountability on safety, quality and scope

  • Contribute to early works planning, constructability reviews and risk identification

  • Support forecasting, documentation and commercial processes as projects evolve

  • Maintain a strong on-site presence and take ownership of assigned scopes

About You:

  • Degree-qualified in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical or similar)

  • Experience as a Project Engineer within energy or infrastructure delivery environments

  • Exposure to contractor-led or EPC-style projects

  • Comfortable working in lean project teams with clear accountability

  • Interested in progression toward Project Management over time

  • Practical, grounded and capable of seeing work through from start to finish

Why Apply:

  • Long-term energy infrastructure portfolio with committed growth plans

  • Opportunity to develop beyond “project-only” delivery into broader portfolio exposure

  • Direct access to experienced Project Management and Project Director leadership

  • Environment where performance, ownership and follow-through matter

  • Strong platform for engineers looking to step into future Project Manager roles
