Project Coordinator opportunity supporting a major transport infrastructure project.

Your New CompanyJoin a large and complex infrastructure program team responsible for planning, developing and delivering major transport projects that improve the safe, efficient and sustainable movement of people and freight across South East Queensland. You'll be part of a collaborative project environment focused on progressing key infrastructure initiatives through design, approvals, environmental planning, property requirements and procurement activities.
Your New RoleAs Project Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the planning, coordination and delivery of environmental approval activities for a major transport infrastructure project. Working closely with the Project Manager and a range of technical specialists, consultants and stakeholders, you will help ensure project outcomes are delivered in line with scope, budget, schedule and governance requirements.Key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining project management plans, schedules, risk registers and reporting documentation.
  • Coordinating inputs from consultants, contractors, technical advisors and government stakeholders.
  • Monitoring project progress and preparing reports, briefs, presentations and correspondence.
  • Facilitating meetings and workshops, including agenda preparation, minute taking and action tracking.
  • Assisting with the identification and management of project risks and issues.
  • Supporting environmental approval processes and associated project requirements.

What You'll Need to SucceedTo be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Experience in project coordination, project management or project support within infrastructure, engineering or construction environments.
  • Qualifications in project management, civil engineering, environmental science, planning, construction management or a related discipline.
  • A current Class C Driver's Licence.
  • Exposure to environmental approvals, consultant management and stakeholder coordination.
  • Knowledge of environmental approval processes, including the EPBC approval framework, will be advantageous.
