About the Role
At Zed Contracting, we value a supportive and nurturing work environment that inspires excellence. We are currently looking for a dedicated Project Builder to oversee and manage our construction projects, ensuring they are completed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
The right Project Builder for our company will be undertaking these tasks and duties:
• Plan and manage construction projects involving concreting, formwork, steel fixing and structural works within agreed budgets and schedules.
• Review architectural drawings, engineering plans and specifications to determine suitable construction methods.
• Prepare project quotations and cost estimates, monitor expenses and manage client variations.
• Coordinate subcontractors, workers, materials and equipment to meet project requirements.
• Liaise with clients, engineers, architects and construction trades to coordinate project activities.
• Monitor construction progress and quality to ensure compliance with building standards and project specifications.
• Coordinate construction docs, site inspections and required approvals
• Ensure compliance with WHS requirements on construction sites.
• Identify and resolve construction delays, site issues and resource shortages.
•Maintain project records, prepare progress reports and coordinate project handovers.
The right Project Builder for our company will have these skills and qualifications:
• Relevant tertiary qualification in construction management, engineering, or related field
• Proven experience as a Project Builder or similar role in the construction industry
• A building licence is highly regarded but not essential.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
• Excellent project management and organizational skills
• Proficiency in construction management software
• Strong leadership and communication abilities
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various project sites
