About this Position

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to oversee end-to-end procurement across Victoria. This senior role is responsible for strategic sourcing, supplier contract negotiation, cost optimisation for our electrical components, industrial machinery and technical materials. You will partner with leadership, operations, finance to develop and execute effective procurement strategies, ensuring stable, cost-effective and compliant material supply.

You will be responsible to…

· Develop, implement and monitor procurement strategies, annual procurement plans and purchasing frameworks tailored to electrical components, technical materials, equipment and related service.

· Conduct comprehensive procurement market research and supplier analysis, benchmark industry pricing, evaluate supplier capability, and identify reliable local and international sourcing opportunities for electrical and industrial product lines.

· Lead end-to-end procurement activities, inclduing supplier sourcing and pre-qualification, tendering, quotation evaluation, commercial evaluation and formal contract negotiation, ensuring quality, cost and delivery requirements are met..

· Establish and maintain long-term strategic supplier partnerships, conduct regular supplier performance reviews, in relation to quality, cost and delivery, resolve supply disputes and implement supplier improvement initiatives.

· Plan and monitor procurement budget, purchasing cost and cost-reduction initiatives to ensure procurement activities achieve value for money.

· Manage procurement-related commercial, contractual and supply risks and establish internal procedures and controls to ensure consistent and compliant purchasing practices.

· Oversee procurement team daily operations, allocate workloads, monitor team performance, provide professional guidance.

· Monitor supply requirements and procurement schedules, coordinate purchasing activities with relevant departments, and ensure the timely availability of required materials, products and services.

· Oversee procurement records, purchasing documentation and supplier transactions, ensuring accurate and timely maintenance of procurement information.

Any additional requirements?

· A minimum of 5+ years progressive senior strategic procurement experience, with a demonstrated track record of success in B2B, industrial, machinery, or technical product/service sectors. Experience in formulating and implementing procurement strategies, full-cycle tender management is essential.

· Bachelor Degree in Management, Commerce or other procurement-related field is highly regarded.

· Demonstrated managerial capability with experience overseeing procurement operations or leading procurement team tasks

· Strong commercial acumen and procurement market insight, with proven ability to convert supplier market data and industry trends into actionable sourcing strategies.

· Excellent analytical, financial budgeting and data interpretation skills, capable of conducting professional cost-benefit analysis and making data-driven procurement and contractual decisions.

· Proficient with procurement management systems, budget tools and office software.

· Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in a fast-paced, practical industry environment.
