We’re expanding our team and are currently seeking motivated individuals to join us in the following roles:
Position 1: Plumber’s Assistant
The Plumber’s Assistant is responsible for assisting licensed plumbers and tradesmen in carrying out plumbing-related tasks.
Key Duties:
- Assist with setting up and dismantling temporary access equipment (such as scaffolding or ladders) for plumbing related work:
- Assist Roof Plumbers with installing roof drainage systems and rainwater products (such as gutters, downpipes and fittings);
- Assist Roof Plumbers to install roofing incidentals and components.
- Assist Roof Plumbers in removing, repairing and replacing existing rainwater drainage components such as gutters and downpipes:
- Assist plumbers by cleaning, repairing and installing variety of metal and plastic gutters and downpipes, ensuring proper connection and drainage
- Maintain clean and safe work area.
- Work cooperatively with other workers, staff and the public.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Clean work areas by removing debris and ensuring safe access around plumbing installations:
- Carry out routine cleaning and minor maintenance of roof drainage systems (gutters, downpipes, stormwater drains)
- Carry out load slinging as required, plus loading and unloading of vehicles as required.
- Other/General Duties
- Tidy up of tools and materials onsite on a daily basis; or whenever leaving site early and not
Requirements:
- White Card is essential.
- Have at least one year of full-time (or part-time equivalent) work experience.
- Hold a relevant qualification equivalent to an AQF Certificate I, OR Completed compulsory secondary education.
- Ability to work safely at heights and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and reliability.
Position 2: Builder’s Labourer
The Builder’s Labourer is responsible for providing general labouring and construction support on roofing and cladding worksites.
Key Duties:
- Loading and unloading roofing sheets, insulation, tools, and equipment, and transporting them safely around roofing and construction sites.
- Erecting and dismantling temporary access structures such as scaffolding, guard rails, and safety barricades to support roofing works.
- Assist trade persons with removing and replacing building materials under supervision.
- Assist with cleaning roofing materials and ensuring site drainage areas are clear under supervision
- Maintain clean and safe work area.
- Work cooperatively with other workers, staff and the public.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Blow down or sweep swarf from all new work;
- Carry out load slinging as required, plus loading and unloading of vehicles as required.
- Other/General Duties:
- Tidy up of tools and materials onsite on a daily basis; or whenever leaving site early and not
- Using ladders, scaffolds, and hydraulic lifts to assist roof plumbers and cladders with access to multi-storey or elevated roof areas.
- Carrying out general site cleaning, debris removal, and ensuring safe storage of roofing materials and equipment.
Requirements:
- White Card is essential.
- Have at least one year of full-time (or part-time equivalent) work experience.
- Hold a relevant qualification equivalent to an AQF Certificate I, OR Completed compulsory secondary education.
- Working at Heights & EWP tickets are highly desirable.
- Physically fit, hardworking, and able to follow safety procedures on site.
