An exciting opportunity  for a Planning & Environment Lawyer to join a highly regarded specialist law firm in Sydney.
This is an opportunity to join a well-established boutique practice renowned for its expertise across planning, environmental, valuation, compulsory acquisition and heritage law.

About the Firm

Our client is a leading specialist planning, environment, valuation and heritage law practice with a longstanding reputation for excellence in the market.
The firm advises on a broad range of planning and environmental matters, appearing regularly in the Land and Environment Court and acting on behalf of government, corporate and private clients. Due to its collaborative structure, lawyers benefit from direct access to senior practitioners and hands-on involvement in significant and complex matters from an early stage.

About the Role

As a Planning & Environment Lawyer, you will:

• Advise on Environmental Planning and Assessment matters
• Appear in and assist with proceedings in the Land and Environment Court
• Brief and instruct Counsel
• Liaise with councils, the EPA and other regulatory authorities
• Advise clients on planning, development and environmental compliance matters
• Work across a broad mix of advisory and litigation matters
• Build strong client relationships while working closely with senior lawyers and industry experts

About You

You will ideally have:

• Minimum 2 years' post-admission experience
• Experience advising on Environmental Planning and Assessment matters
• Experience dealing with councils, the EPA and other regulatory agencies
• Strong communication and client relationship skills
• A collaborative approach and willingness to work within a close-knit team
• Excellent drafting, analytical and problem-solving skills
