Engineering Trades Australia (ETA) is seeking experienced Pipe Fitters for a major construction project in Karratha, WA.
This is a full-time fixed-term contract opportunity offering a 20:8 FIFO roster, flights from Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, plus additional allowances and contract benefits.
The Opportunity
- Position: Pipe Fitter
- Location: Karratha, WA
- Roster: 20 days on / 8 days off
- Employment: Full-time fixed-term contract
- Point of Hire: Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne
- Flights: Provided from Brisbane, Sydney & Melbourne
- Base Rate: $49.69 per hour + allowances

What You'll Be Doing
You will be working as part of a large-scale construction project, responsible for the fabrication, fit-up and installation of process pipework and associated components.
Key duties include:
- Fabricating and installing various sizes of pipework
- Working with carbon steel and exotic materials, including Inconel-clad pipe
- Cutting, beveling and fitting pipework to isometric drawings
- Fabricating and assembling pipe spools
- Installing valves and associated piping components
- Installation of risers and flowlines
- Compressor hook-up piping
- Working closely with riggers and other trades to position and install pipework
- Reading and interpreting isometric drawings and project documentation
- Maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality and productivity
What We're Looking For
- Relevant Australian Pipe Fitting trade qualification
- 5+ years' experience in construction, mining, oil & gas or major projects
- Strong experience with carbon steel pipework
- Experience with Inconel-clad pipe and compressor hook-up piping highly regarded
- Proven experience with risers and flowlines
- Construction White Card
- Working at Heights
- EWP High Risk Work Licence
- Confined Space
- Gas Test Atmospheres
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
- Full Australian working rights
