The Organisation
Our client is a well-established and highly regarded ANZ organisation with a significant footprint. Operating across multiple sites and employing thousands of staff, this business is recognised for its strong values, operational excellence and commitment to continuous improvement. An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join a collaborative and high-performing payroll team. 

The Role
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for the accurate and compliant processing of a large, complex payroll environment. Supporting a diverse workforce across Australia, you will play a key role in payroll delivery, compliance, reporting and process improvement initiatives. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • End-to-end payroll processing across multiple pay groups
  • Interpretation of Awards, Enterprise Agreements and legislative requirements
  • Maintaining payroll data integrity and employee records
  • Processing payroll adjustments, deductions, leave transactions and superannuation
  • Responding to employee and stakeholder payroll enquiries
  • Payroll reconciliations, reporting and compliance activities
  • Supporting payroll system updates, testing and implementation activities
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders and external agencies as required
  • Contributing to continuous improvement and process optimisation initiatives 

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in end-to-end payroll within a medium to large organisation in an ECP or SAP environment
  • Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, payroll tax and superannuation requirements
  • Experience interpreting Awards and Enterprise Agreements
  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication abilities
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large volumes of data
  • A proactive, detail-oriented and compliance-focused approach to payroll operations
