Payroll Officer

Immediate Start | $48.02 - $57.46 | 6-Month Contract | Full-Time Hours

Your new companyThis established organisation is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join its payroll function on a temporary basis. Supporting a large and diverse workforce, you will play a key role in ensuring payroll is processed accurately and efficiently while delivering a high level of service to internal stakeholders.
Your new role
Reporting to the Payroll Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:

• Processing payroll, timesheets, leave and employee variations
• Maintaining payroll records, allowances and deductions
• Interpreting awards, enterprise agreements and payroll legislation
• Responding to payroll enquiries and providing payroll advice
• Processing payroll adjustments, reconciliations and reporting
• Supporting fortnightly payroll activities and compliance requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience in a Payroll Officer position
• Strong knowledge of payroll processes and legislation
• Experience working with computerised payroll systems
• High attention to detail and strong data entry accuracy
• The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Intermediate Excel skills will be highly regarded
