Job Description
- Oversee end-to-end payroll operations across multiple entities and states, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Develop and execute a payroll roadmap aligned to systems, compliance and business needs
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, controls and employee experience
- Ensure full compliance with legislative obligations including payroll tax, superannuation and STP reporting
- Lead payroll-related projects, system enhancements and implementations
- Manage audits, reconciliations and reporting, maintaining strong governance frameworks
- Collaborate closely with Finance, HR and external vendors to deliver seamless outcomes
- Lead, guide and uplift capability within the payroll function
- Establish robust processes, controls and documentation to support a future-state operating model
The Successful Applicant
- Strong experience in end-to-end payroll across multi-state environments
- Proven capability in systems, process improvement and project delivery
- Solid knowledge of payroll compliance, legislation and audit requirements
- Experience with SAP payroll highly regarded
- Advanced analytical skills and attention to detail
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the confidence to challenge and improve existing processes
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
