A fantastic opportunity has presented itself for a Payments Lead reporting to the Payments Manager.
A bit about your role
As Payments Lead, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and effective delivery of payment services across nbn. You will oversee supplier payments, support the management of outsourced service delivery partners, and help maintain efficient travel and expense processes that enable a positive experience for employees, suppliers and stakeholders.
Working closely with teams across Finance, Purchase to Pay Services and the broader business, you will use data and insights to monitor payment performance, identify trends and support informed decision-making. You will develop reporting and analytics that provide visibility of key metrics, helping to optimise cashflow outcomes, strengthen controls and ensure compliance with payment obligations and service standards.
You will also champion continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to simplify processes, enhance operational efficiency and improve stakeholder experiences. Through strong collaboration and a commitment to operational excellence, you will help drive reliable, efficient and customer-focused payment services that support business performance across nbn.
A bit about you
An ideal candidate is a collaborative and detail-oriented professional with experience in procure-to-pay, accounts payable, payments management or supply chain operations within a complex organisation. You bring a strong understanding of payment processes, supplier management and master data governance, combined with the ability to balance operational delivery with continuous improvement.
You are comfortable working with data and analytics to generate insights, monitor performance and support business decision-making. With strong stakeholder management skills, you build trusted relationships across finance, business and service delivery teams, enabling effective collaboration and positive outcomes for both internal and external partners.
You thrive in a fast-paced environment, bringing a proactive mindset, strong organisational skills and a commitment to service excellence. Experienced in managing competing priorities, improving processes and supporting operational teams, you are motivated by delivering high-quality outcomes that create value for the business and its stakeholders.
Application Process
You may find that your experience does not match every requirement listed but, if this role has piqued your interest or resonates with where you are in your career, we encourage you to apply rather than self-select out.
