Compass Group Australia will deliver essential support services at the new Footscray Hospital, one of Victoria’s largest health infrastructure projects. We will provide vital services, including patient services, environmental services, food, security, help desk, and more. As a public hospital with clinical services provided by Western Health, this state-of-the-art facility will play a key role in supporting the community—be part of something bigger and help shape the future of healthcare in Victoria.

THE POSITION

  • Lead and support Hub Coordinators and Patient Services Assistants, fostering a high-performing and accountable team.
  • Coordinate patient movements, transfers and discharge activities to support efficient patient flow and bed utilisation.
  • Manage daily operational priorities, workforce allocation and rostering to maintain effective service coverage.
  • Act as a key escalation point for operational, workforce and stakeholder matters.
  • Collaborate with clinical and support teams to resolve service challenges and improve patient flow.
  • Monitor performance, compliance and service delivery, supporting continuous improvement, safety and quality outcomes

THE PERSON

  • Previous roles in patient services, bed management, or hospital operations.
  • Strong foundation in patient-facing or client service roles, ensuring excellent communication and support.
  • Familiarity with hospital management systems, patient databases, or scheduling tools.
  • Proven ability to handle urgent requests, multitask effectively, and problem-solve under time constraints.
  • Able to work collaboratively across different hospital departments to improve patient flow.
  • Anticipates needs, responds to changes, and continuously looks for process improvements.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a National Police Clearance.
