About the Role
As Operations Supervisor you’ll support the day-to-day transport and logistics operations, working closely with drivers and the wider operational team to help ensure daily activities run smoothly and efficiently.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with transport, logistics or aviation experience who is organised, reliable and comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment.
This position is rostered Tuesday to Saturday, 4:00am - 12:00pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading and supervising operational staff, monitoring performance, attendance and task completion
- Supporting daily transport operations and operational requirements
- Undertaking heavy vehicle driving (HR or HC)
- Maintaining compliance with HVNL, WHS and company policies and procedures
- Conducting fleet inspections, safety audits and operational checks
- Liaising with customers, Ops Room and Operational Representatives to maximise service delivery and fleet efficiency
- Maintaining the presentation and operational readiness of vehicles and equipment
- Responding to incidents, monitoring operational performance and completing shift reporting
What You'll Need
• Current HR or HC Driver's Licence
• Previous leadership, team leader, leading hand or supervisory experience highly regarded
• Minimum 3 years' experience within the heavy vehicle, transport or logistics industry
• Experience within transport, logistics, airfreight or cargo operations
• Understanding of HVNL, Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and WHS requirements
• Strong communication, leadership and conflict resolution skills
• Sound administrative and computer skills
• Ability to remain calm, focused and organised in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
