About the Position:
The Motor Mechanic role is central to the day-to-day operations of GREEN MOTOR WORKSHOP PTY LTD. You will diagnose, service and repair mechanical faults across a range of vehicles, perform scheduled maintenance, and ensure all work meets manufacturer specifications and workplace safety standards, directly supporting the workshop’s reputation for dependable and professional automotive services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, service and repair mechanical faults in motor vehicles
- Inspect and test vehicle components and systems
- Perform scheduled maintenance and servicing
- Dismantle, repair and replace engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, braking and other mechanical components
- Use diagnostic equipment to identify faults
- Test and adjust repaired components to ensure proper performance
- Maintain accurate service records
- Ensure all work complies with manufacturer specifications and workplace safety requirements
Requirements:
- Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply
- AQF Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis
- Minimum 1 year relevant experience
- Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills, ability to use modern diagnostic equipment, solid understanding of vehicle systems (engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension), attention to detail, commitment to workplace health and safety, and effective communication skills for working with the team and recording service information
