Techforce Personnel is currently seeking an experienced Power Station Operator Maintainer (Mechanical) to join a leading Australian power generation company operating across remote mining and industrial sites.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter or Diesel Mechanic with experience in power generation, reciprocating engines and mechanical maintenance.

About the Role Working within a remote power station, you'll be responsible for the safe operation, maintenance and reliability of power generation equipment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Operating, servicing and maintaining reciprocating gas and diesel engines.
- Conducting preventative, scheduled and breakdown maintenance.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical faults.
- Maintaining power generation equipment and auxiliary systems.
- Inspecting engines, pumps, cooling systems and associated mechanical components.
- Supporting engine management and control system maintenance.
- Completing maintenance reports and work orders.
- Responding to breakdowns and ensuring maximum plant reliability.
- Working autonomously and collaboratively within a remote operations team.
What We're Looking For Essential:
- Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting, Diesel Mechanics or a relevant mechanical discipline.
- Strong mechanical maintenance and fault-finding experience.
- Experience working with reciprocating engines or similar heavy mechanical equipment.
- Current C-Class Driver's Licence.
- Strong commitment to safety and reliability.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Good communication and computer literacy.
Highly Desirable:
- Previous experience in power generation or power station maintenance.
- Experience with gas and diesel engines, including Jenbacher, Wärtsilä or similar OEM equipment.
- Mining, heavy industrial or remote operations experience.
- Previous FIFO experience.
- Supervised Gas Fitter Ticket.
- Experience with Pronto or similar maintenance management systems.
