Pay Rate: $55–$80 per hour, depending on role and shift

Tecside is currently recruiting experienced Mechanical Fitters for three opportunities across Perth's manufacturing, concrete production and industrial maintenance sectors.

Opportunity 1: Mechanical Fitter – Welshpool
Join a precast concrete manufacturing operation, maintaining fixed plant equipment and supporting efficient production.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on fixed plant equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs.
• Conduct routine inspections and servicing.
• Assist with plant improvements and equipment upgrades.
• Identify mechanical issues and implement corrective actions.

Working Arrangements

• Monday to Friday, commencing approximately 5:00 am.
• Typical finish between 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm.
• Some Saturdays may be required.
• Overtime available, with applicable penalties after 7.6 hours per day.

Opportunity 2: Mechanical Fitter – Bibra Lake
Join a packaging manufacturing operation, helping maintain machinery reliability and supporting production through preventative maintenance and timely breakdown repairs.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative maintenance on production machinery.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and complete mechanical repairs.
• Provide technical support to maintenance and production teams.
• Assist with machinery improvements and maintenance projects.
• Identify and source replacement components with appropriate approval.
• Troubleshoot faults and maintain equipment reliability.
• Pay Rate: $65–$80/hourly 

Working Arrangements

• Day Shift: Monday to Thursday: 7:00 am – 3:00 pm/ Friday: 7:00 am – 12:00 pm
• Afternoon Shift: Monday to Thursday: 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm/Friday: 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm
• Overtime is available as required and paid after 35 hours per week.

Opportunity 3: Mechanical Fitter – Hazelmere / Wangara
Join a maintenance team supporting multiple concrete manufacturing sites across Perth. This role combines mechanical fitting, welding, fabrication and plant improvement work.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative, breakdown and corrective maintenance.
• Perform welding, fabrication and equipment modifications.
• Maintain conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, motors, pumps and material handling systems.
• Replace bearings, chains, belts and other mechanical components.
• Repair silos, chutes, overhead bins and associated equipment.
• Complete minor fabrication and fitment of replacement components.
• Identify faults and recommend improvements to plant reliability.

Working Arrangements

• Monday to Saturday, with starts around 5:30 am–6:00 am.
• Typical finish around 4:00 pm.
• Six-day working weeks are expected.
• Work across multiple sites, with locations generally allocated to minimise travel where possible.
