CELOTTI WORKFORCE is currently seeking an experienced Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter to join our client’s processing facility in Beaudesert, QLD.
This role offers an immediate start for the right candidate, working within the plant’s maintenance team to support the safe and efficient operation of processing equipment. The position offers rotating 12-hour shifts, with the potential to transition from temp-to-perm for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on processing plant equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults and breakdowns
- Carry out inspections, servicing and repairs on machinery and equipment
- Assist with planned maintenance and shutdown activities
- Identify potential equipment issues and complete corrective repairs
- Work closely with production and maintenance teams to minimise downtime
- Maintain safe and efficient operation of plant and equipment
- Follow all site safety, maintenance and operational procedures
- Work rotating 12-hour shifts, including afternoon and night shifts
Our Ideal Candidate
- Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter
- Previous experience in industrial or processing plant maintenance
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience working with processing equipment highly regarded
- Previous experience in a meat processing environment is advantageous
- Reliable, safety-focused and committed to quality workmanship
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work rotating 12-hour shifts
