Weekly Rate: $1,730.09 – $1,885.79 (plus superannuation)

Orange City Council is seeking an analytical, solutions, focused Management Accountant to join our finance team.

Job/Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant, this position is primarily responsible for supporting the management of our budgets across Council.  This includes:

• Supporting Council’s Senior Management Accountant in the timely production of Council’s Annual and Quarterly Budgets and Council’s Annual Fees & Charges.
• Supporting, advising, training and liaising with Council staff, including Managers and Directors, in preparation of budget reviews and project reviews.
• Completing comprehensive monthly management reporting processes, including detailed analysis and advice.

• Bachelor of Accounting, or equivalent
• Demonstrated experience with accounting packages
• A demonstrated ability to analyse and report on financial data
• Current Class C Drivers Licence
• Ability to obtain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check
