About the role

MinRes is currently seeking a Management Account to join our Commodities team, within the wider operational finance team on a secondment basis for a parental cover. The commodities team is responsible for all Lithium and Iron Ore reporting within the group. As our Management Accountant, you’ll provide vital financial insights to support leaders across the business. You’ll be responsible for preparing management reports, budgets, forecasts, and analysis that highlight opportunities for growth, efficiency, and improved profitability.

This position commence as a 12-month fixed term contract.

Key Duties:

  • Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, financial reports, and variance analysis.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring business performance is effectively monitored.
  • Partner with managers to provide insights into costs, margins, and financial drivers.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Contribute to system and process improvements across the finance function.
  • Support decision-making through financial and business case analysis.

What you’ll bring to the team:

  • Tertiary Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional accounting qualification (CPA, CA) preferred or working towards.
  • Established experience in management accounting, financial analysis, or similar role, with experience in the Resource or Industrial sector highly regarded
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
  • Advanced Excel and experience with ERP/BI systems.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skill.
  • Positive attitude and mentality to learn and grow.
