Job Description

The Management Accountant will be responsible for the following:

  • Maintain and analyse manufacturing BOMs and costing structures to ensure accuracy and alignment with business requirements.
  • Monitoring inventory transactions, stock movements and cycle counts, including investigation and reporting of variances.
  • Analyse manufacturing, purchase price and inventory variances, providing insights and recommendations to management.
  • Manage inventory adjustments, write-offs, ageing and obsolescence provisions in line with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Provide inventory, costing and financial analysis to support manufacturing programs, projects and financial controls.
  • Monthly management and board reporting and presentations
  • Support new manufacturing projects, systems and process improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with audit and tax requirements, including preparation of supporting documentation.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Management Accountant should have:

  • A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Experience with SAP or a similar ERP system
  • Professional accreditation such as CPA or CA.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in a similar role within manufacturing or an adjacent industry
  • Experience with inventory accounting, product costing
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively with stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of accounting standards and regulations.
