Our client is a leading Australian business operating a large-scale facility in Wemen, regional Victoria. They are looking for a practical, mechanically minded Maintenance Parts Coordinator who wants to take ownership of an important function and make a genuine impact on site.
Your new role
This is not your typical stores role. You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of the maintenance spare-parts area and turn it into a well-organised, efficient operation. Your responsibilities will include:

• Taking ownership of the spare-parts room and improving its overall organisation
• Setting up smarter systems for ordering, storing and replenishing parts
• Improving stock accuracy, labelling and identification of critical spares
• Sourcing mechanical and electrical components and working with suppliers
• Working closely with the maintenance team to ensure the right parts are available when needed
• Identifying opportunities to make the spare-parts function more efficient

Once everything is running smoothly, the role becomes even more hands-on. You'll have the opportunity to work alongside qualified Maintenance Fitters as a Trade Assistant, helping with breakdowns, repairs and maintenance across the plant.

What you'll need to succeed

Experience with spare parts, maintenance stores, inventory or parts coordination Experience within FMCG, manufacturing, heavy industrial or general engineering Strong mechanical aptitude and an interest in machinery and equipment A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to get involved Strong organisational skills with an eye for improving systems Confidence dealing with suppliers, tradespeople and production teams Someone who enjoys taking ownership rather than simply maintaining the status quo
