About the Role
Chelgrave Contracting is seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to join a high-profile food manufacturing operation based in Melbourne's inner suburbs. This is a casual, Monday to Friday role, working fully on site, responsible for planning and coordinating maintenance activities to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently.
Working closely with maintenance team, production teams, and external contractors, you will plan and schedule maintenance work using SAP PM to minimise disruption across a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule and coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance activities
- Create, manage and close out maintenance work orders within SAP PM
- Liaise with maintenance technicians, production teams and external contractors to sequence work with minimal disruption to operations
- Strong understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and HACCP principles within a food manufacturing environment
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, asset data and job history within SAP
- Support compliance with food safety, hygiene and quality standards
- Identify opportunities to improve maintenance planning processes and equipment reliability
About You
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Planner or in a similar maintenance coordination role
- Proficient in SAP PM (Plant Maintenance module)
- Experience within the food manufacturing industry, or a strong understanding of its hygiene, safety and compliance requirements
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing maintenance demands
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with trades, operations and management
- Available to work on site, Monday to Friday
