Logistics Officer

Hands-on operational role that combines office-based logistics planning with warehouse interaction.

Great opportunity for an immediately available logistics officer to join a fast-paced steel distribution environment based in South Brisbane to work Monday to Friday 10am-6pm.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working hands on with systems, problem-solving, and coordinating warehouse and transport operations.

Your new role

• Retrieve and process customer orders through logistics systems
• Work closely with the warehouse team to pack and allocate products for customer orders.
• Generate planning and dispatch reports to create delivery loads for the following day.
• operate across two separate logistics systems, depending on the production source of the products
• Print and prepare dispatch documentation for the warehouse and transport teams
• Update operational information and planning spreadsheets within Microsoft Teams
• Investigate and resolve day-to-day operational and system issues to ensure deliveries remain on schedule.
• Complete compliance checks, including verifying load compliance.

What you'll need to succeed

• Experience in logistics, transport, warehousing or supply chain is highly desirable.
• Strong computer skills and the ability to learn multiple software systems quickly.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
