Lawyer/ Associate - Projects & Infrastructure

A fantastic opening for a Lawyer/Associate with 2+ PAE to join our highly successful, expanding Projects and Infrastructure team, located in Perth.

The role
 
In this role, you will be an integral part of a close knit team as well as working closely with allied practice areas such as property and project finance.  You will also have exceptional exposure to, and work alongside, the key sector partner, building technical skills whilst gaining invaluable experience in direct client interactions.
 
The role carries a significant level of responsibility, and potential for growth in a supportive environment, where you will report directly to partner level and have continuous, deep involvement in front-end work on projects of state and national significance.  This position involves working on the documentation and negotiation of major construction and infrastructure projects, and advising clients on related risks, project structuring and implementation mechanisms.  The team has strong transactional experience in a range of sectors with a particular focus on energy, mining and transport.  
 
Our team regularly acts for project proponents and head contractors in relation to ECI, D&C, EPC, EPCM, O&M, OEM and PPA documents as well as supply agreements, port access, infrastructure and services agreements and haulage contracts.  Across 2023-2024 the team has grown to be the national trusted partner of a number of key clients in the sector, advising on a portfolio of project and transactional matters, including multi-billion dollar market leading, global first engineering and mechanical arrangements with some of Australia's top tier companies.
