The Opportunity
A mid-tier accounting firm in Brisbane is looking to add an Intermediate Accountant to their Business Services & Tax team.
With a strong pipeline of work and a broad client base (from SMEs through to more complex groups), this role is ideal for someone who wants to step up, take on more responsibility, and be properly supported along the way.
You’ll be joining a team that values collaboration, offers hands-on mentoring, and gives you exposure beyond just compliance work.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assist in preparing financial statements and tax returns
- Work on BAS/IAS and general compliance tasks
- Support senior staff on advisory and client projects
- Handle client queries and build relationships over time
- Get exposure to more complex entities as your experience grows
- Contribute to team workflow and deadlines

About You
- 2–4 years of experience in public practice
- Working towards CA/CPA (or planning to start)
- Solid foundation in tax and business services
- Good communication skills and a proactive attitude
- Experience with Xero, MYOB or similar
