Junior / Graduate Accounting Officer

Are you a recent Accounting or Finance graduate or have administration experience and are looking for your first step into a professional finance team? Working within a collaborative and supportive finance team, you'll gain experience across Accounts Payable and Credit Control, supporting a complex business while building strong foundations in transactional accounting.

The Role As a Graduate Accounts Officer, you'll receive full training while taking ownership of a variety of finance responsibilities, including:

• Processing high-volume supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
• Matching purchase orders, invoices and receipts
• Preparing payment runs and reconciling supplier statements
• Managing supplier queries and maintaining positive relationships
• Following up outstanding customer accounts via phone and email
• Allocating incoming payments and reconciling customer accounts
• Assisting with account investigations and resolving discrepancies
• Supporting month-end processes and reconciliations
• Maintaining accurate financial records across multiple entities
• Working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations

My client is looking for someone eager to learn, who enjoys working with numbers and has excellent attention to detail.

You'll ideally have:

• A recent degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline or experience in an admin role processing invoices etc
• Strong communication skills and a professional approach
• High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
• A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
• The ability to work well within a collaborative team environment
• Previous administration, customer service or finance experience (desirable but not essential)
