Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test and maintain web applications using HTML, CSS and JavaScript in accordance with technical specifications and business requirements.
- Design and implement back-end application functionality using Java, ensuring effective integration with front-end interfaces and application components.
- Develop, maintain and optimise MySQL databases, including writing queries, managing data structures and ensuring data integrity across applications.
- Develop and maintain mobile applications using Flutter, implementing features and integrating application interfaces with back-end services.
- Analyse user requirements and technical specifications to identify programming needs and translate functional requirements into software solutions.
- Perform software testing, debugging and troubleshooting to identify, diagnose and resolve coding errors, application faults and performance issues.
- Modify and enhance existing software applications based on user feedback, changing business requirements and identified system limitations.
- Integrate front-end and back-end components, APIs and database services to improve application functionality, reliability and performance.
- Maintain technical documentation, including program code documentation, application specifications, database structures and records of software modifications.
- Monitor application performance, investigate technical issues and implement code improvements to maintain software quality, functionality and operational reliability.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Information Technology or relevant discipline.
- At least 1 year of experience in full-stack web and mobile application development.
- Demonstrated knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript for front-end development and Java for back-end application development.
- Practical experience with MySQL, including database design, SQL queries, data management and optimisation.
- Experience developing and maintaining mobile applications using Flutter and integrating them with back-end services.
- Ability to integrate front-end applications with back-end APIs, test software functionality, debug code and resolve technical issues.
- Ability to prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, including software specifications, API documentation, database schemas and code documentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and manage competing priorities.
