Our client is an established Sydney window furnishings business supplying homes and commercial projects across the city. Demand for their work keeps growing, and they're now adding a skilled machinist to their workroom team.

POSITION
A Sewing Machinist is needed to join the workroom on a permanent basis, with a focus on Roman blinds.
- Make Roman blinds from start to finish, including cutting, sewing, assembly and final finish.
- Follow job sheets and measurements closely so every order comes out to size.
- Run industrial sewing machines and handle large lengths of fabric with confidence.
- Inspect your own work as you go and sign off on quality before orders are dispatched.
- Help out on curtains and soft furnishings where your skills allow.
- Work with the wider team to keep orders moving on schedule.

EXPERIENCE
- Roman blind or curtain making experience highly regarded
- Machinists from upholstery, fashion, canvas, marine or other sewing backgrounds encouraged to apply
- Strong eye for detail and a high standard of finish
- Comfortable working from measurements and written specs
- Organised, dependable and able to work independently or in a team
