About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated ICT Support Engineer to maintain and support the company’s IT infrastructure, computer systems, network connectivity and business applications. The successful candidate will provide technical assistance to employees, troubleshoot ICT issues and help ensure the reliability, security and efficiency of the company’s technology systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for computer hardware, software, operating systems, printers and network connectivity.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues affecting computers, applications and ICT infrastructure.
- Install, configure, maintain and upgrade computer systems, software and network equipment.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity and system access issues.
- Maintain user accounts, access permissions and ICT security configurations.
- Provide technical support for business applications used in administrative and transport-related operations.
- Monitor backup procedures, perform routine system maintenance and assist with data recovery when required.
- Maintain ICT asset registers, technical documentation and records of support incidents.
- Liaise with external IT service providers and software vendors to resolve complex technical problems.
- Identify recurring technical issues and recommend improvements to system performance and reliability.
- Assist with implementing system upgrades, hardware replacements and new technology solutions.
- Ensure ICT systems are maintained in accordance with company procedures and applicable security requirements.
Selection Criteria
Essential requirements:
- Relevant qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience in ICT support, troubleshooting and systems maintenance.
- Knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, software applications and network fundamentals.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to manage technical support requests and prioritise tasks effectively.
