HSE Officer

Our client is seeking an experienced HSE Officer to join their team at Fremantle Port, WA. This is an opportunity for a safety-focused professional to support site operations, promote safe work practices, and help maintain a strong health, safety and environmental culture.

What you’ll be doing:

• Supporting the implementation and monitoring of health, safety and environmental procedures
• Conducting workplace inspections and identifying potential hazards
• Assisting with risk assessments and the implementation of control measures
• Monitoring compliance with site safety requirements and relevant regulations
• Supporting incident reporting, investigations and corrective actions
• Promoting safe work practices and providing guidance to workers on site
• Maintaining accurate HSE records and documentation

What you’ll need:

• Previous experience in an HSE Officer or similar safety role
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements and procedures
• Experience conducting inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work effectively with site teams and contractors
• A proactive approach to identifying hazards and improving safety
• Relevant HSE qualifications or certifications
• Full working rights in Australia
