SkillQuest Solutions are seeking a qualified and experienced Horticultural Worker on behalf of our client, an agricultural business committed to producing high-quality fresh produce while maintaining sustainable farming practices, based in Ramco Heights, South Australia.

Salary - $77,000 - $83,000 plus superannuation per annum

Employment Type - Full-time, Permanent

THE ROLE:

We are looking for a reliable and qualified Horticultural Worker who is committed to delivering high-quality crop care, maintaining safe work practices, and supporting efficient farm operations. This is a full-time, ongoing position.

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES INCLUDE:

· Plant, cultivate, and harvest crops in accordance with seasonal and crop care schedules.

· Operate and maintain irrigation systems to support effective crop hydration.

· Prepare soil and apply fertilisers or organic matter to promote healthy crop development.

· Identify and remove weeds, pests, and diseased plants, using integrated pest management techniques where needed.

· Sort, pack, and load produce for market distribution, while maintaining strict quality control.

· Operate adn maintain basic farm machinery and tools used in daily horticultural operations.

· Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

· Relevant qualification, such as a Certificate III in Horticulture or higher (or agreed equivalent).

· Minimum of 1 year (preferably more) work experience in horticultural operations.

· Ability to undertake physical tasks, such as lifting heavy loads and working on ladders, in accordance with WHS regulations.

· Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including early morning starts during frosty conditions.

· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

· Able to follow instructions and work effectively within a team.

· Willingness to learn and apply new processes quickly.

· Excellent hand/eye coordination.

· A reliable, safety-conscious, and hard-working attitude.

· Basic knowledge of farm tools, machinery, and crop care.

· A commitment to safety and following safe-working practices.

· You must have unrestricted working rights to work full time in Australia to be eligible for consideration.

WHAT IS ON OFFER:

• A competitive salary of $77,000 to $83,000 (negotiable, based on experience) plus superannuation per annum.
