Golding is looking for skilled Heavy-Duty Diesel Fitters to join our team at the Kogan Creek Coal Mine, located 26 minutes from Chinchilla and 54 minutes from Dalby.
As the operator of the Kogan Creek open cut Coal Mine we are excited to share that we have just signed a 4yr extension at Kogan Creek, with the contract term now until June 2030.
This is a permanent, full-time residential role. Candidates must reside locally during their 7/7 roster, as accommodation is not provided.
As a Heavy-Duty Diesel Fitter, you will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of heavy earthmoving equipment on-site. Your responsibilities will include:
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment faults.
- Performing disassembly and assembly of machinery and components.
- Conducting routine servicing of equipment, both in the site workshop and field.
- Completing maintenance administration tasks accurately and promptly.
- Actively participating in toolbox and safety meetings.
- Contributing to hazard identification, risk assessments, and work method statement reviews.
Role Requirements:
- Trade Qualification (Australian recognised)
- Experience with heavy earthmoving equipment (see list below)
- Current Drivers’ Licence
- Current Standard 11 certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass a Coal Board Medical, Functional Capacity Assessment, and Drug & Alcohol screening
- Strong commitment to safety and a zero-harm approach
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Working at Heights, Forklift, and Crane operations (desirable)
- RIIs for Tyre Fitting and Test and Move Mobile Equipment (desirable)
- Current ARC Air Conditioning license (desirable)
