Grounds Keeper + Handyperson

The Role:

• Hands on Maintenance & Grounds Keeping of a College
• Use of garden tools to assist with gardening duties when requested.
• Upkeep and general cleaning of school grounds daily, including cleaning of building exteriors
• Manage waste Disposal: General and Recycling
• Use of Small power tools and Hand tools to manage & maintain outdoor furniture
• Sports Field maintenance and Line Marking
• Upkeep of AC enclosures, Spoon drains and blow pipe drains
• Assist with set-up for college functions when required

Criteria:

• White card
• Working with Children Check
• Minimum of 6 months experience in Grounds Keeping or Handyman (Highly desirable)
• Model and maintain the Catholic and Presentation ethos and traditions of the College
• Well organized, accurate, creative and innovative.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Demonstrated capacity for self-directed work and for taking initiative.
• Valid driver’s licence (C Class or LR)
• Current National Police Clearance (Required – Less than 3 months old)
• Physically fit & Able to pass a Drug & Alcohol test
